Setting Up Ledger Live
Download Ledger Live
Start by downloading the Ledger Live app from the official Ledger website. The app is available for both desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux) and mobile (iOS, Android) devices.
Install the App
Follow the installation instructions for your operating system. Once installed, open the Ledger Live app.
Setting Up Your Ledger Device
Connect Your Ledger Device
Using the USB cable provided, connect your Ledger hardware wallet (Ledger Nano S, Ledger Nano X, or Ledger Stax) to your computer or mobile device.
Initialize the Device
Follow the on-screen instructions on your Ledger device. You will be prompted to:
Choose a PIN code: Use the buttons on the Ledger device to enter a secure PIN code. Confirm the PIN code to proceed.
Write down your recovery phrase: Your Ledger device will display a 24-word recovery phrase. Write down these words in order on the provided recovery sheet. This phrase is crucial for recovering your wallet if your device is lost or damaged.
Confirm Recovery Phrase
After writing down your recovery phrase, you will be asked to confirm it by selecting each word in the correct order using the Ledger device buttons. This ensures you have correctly recorded the phrase.
